Hello people

I decided it'd be fun to have a small discussion about my home country. There are many misconceptions. And Chris tole me something the other day that made me laugh. He was downloading music the other night and went into some forum. At some point the question "Where is everyone from" is asked. He answered South Africa and then a hoarde of people just started asking stupid questions like do we ride giraffes as taxis or does he live in a shack. Do we have pet lion? No! Haha. I love it! Yes, dear, I live in a shack but I have internet. NO! I live in a nice little neighborhood in a busy city. Lions and rhinos and elephants, etc don't walk the streets, we have game reserves for that. My sister who lives in New Zealand has also been asked strange questions. One girl even asked her if we have curtains over here. Yet she owns a cellphone that was bought over here that's not yet on the market in New Zealand. Seriously? Oh and another boy had said to her that she can't be South African because she's not black. That's not fair, is it?

Anyway, I'd like to hear if any of you have been told any sttange stories about this country. We're not as third world as people think.

Though, on the other hand, we have a higher crime rate than Columbia.

Oh and one last thing... Those two shoots I've been planning won't be happening for some time as my Aunt and Uncle and their two children are visting here from overseas so I've been super busy and will be for a while still. You can be patient though, right?
